Cuisine Japanese
Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Avocado
  • ½ Small Tomato
  • 3.5 oz Tofu
  • A pinch of Broccoli Sprouts (optional)

Gelée

  • 2 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp Sake
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Dashi *1
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1.5 tsp (5g) Gelatin Powder
  • 1.5 cup Water

Instructions

  1. In a microwavable bowl, mix ingredients of gelée except for the gelatin powder. Heat it in the 600W microwave for 3 minutes, or until the liquid is about 185F.

  2. Sprinkle gelatin powder into the liquid mixture. Mix well. (Note: Make sure the liquid isn’t boiling hot because it will be harder for the gelatin to solidify.)

  3. Once the liquid cools down, put it in the fridge for about 2 hours, until liquid firms.

  4. Cut avocado, tomato, and tofu into small cubes.

  5. In a small clear cup, place 1 portion of avocado, tomato, and tofu. Scoop 1 portion of gelée and gently mix in the cup. Aim for a 2:1 ratio of veggies/tofu and gelée. Garnish broccoli sprouts on top as optional.
